The World Economic Forum has just published the Global Risks 2025 which warns of the risks that threaten the planet in the long term, such as extreme weather events, species extinction and resource scarcity. In the shorter term, the threats are called wars and disinformation. The report summarises the opinions of 900 experts in global risks, politicians and major industrialists. These opinions, which were collected in September and October 2024, paint a pessimistic picture of the coming decade Two-thirds predict major upheavals of upheavals around 2035 caused by the lack of answers to environmental, technological and societal challenges.
