The RTRP-Seed project (Right Tree, Right Place: Seed Project) aims to harness the quality of native tree seeds in Africa to restore degraded landscapes, preserve biodiversity, and strengthen climate resilience, with a budget of 20 million euros over six years. The project is being implemented in five African countries: Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, Rwanda, and Burkina Faso. Funding is provided by Germany through the International Climate Initiative. The goal is to restore 20 million hectares of land by 2045.
