The Oxford Business Group (OBG) and the OCP Group have collaborated to publish a report on agricultural practices in Africa.
The fourth edition of this report, titled “Agriculture in Africa 2023,” decrypts new forms of cultivation. They are generally more inclusive, highlighting the involvement of young people and women, thus reinforcing the significance of this sector on the continent. For instance, sub-Saharan African agricultural production boasts the highest growth rate globally: +4.3%.
Understanding African agriculture and its trends should contribute to better conceptualizing new digital solutions that enhance productivity in arid environments and empower vulnerable populations, particularly young people and women.
