Seminar: “Rethinking the Links Between Societal Governance and the Sustainability of Socio-Ecological Systems, from the Sahel”

This third seminar in the PTL (Politics, Transition, Place) series will bring together in Montpellier researchers from Cirad, IRD and international universities to discuss the links between governance and the sustainability of Sahelian socio-ecological systems. Presentations will cover pastoralism as a relationship (Saverio Krätli), intercommunal conflicts in the Niger Bend (Charles Grémont, IRD), climate variability at Lake Fitri in Chad, and land rights and pastoral mobility in Nigeria (Adam Higazi).
