After Singapore, lab-grown meat sets its sights on the United States

In late 2020, Singapore authorized the use of lab-grown chicken meat for the production of nuggets. Now, the United States is following suit by allowing the commercialization of this product, which is presented as a sustainable alternative to traditional meat production.

After receiving validation from the American health agency in late 2022, the two American startups, Upside Foods and Good Meat, will now be able to market their lab-grown meat, particularly to restaurants.

The startups claim that they have already received orders to fulfill.
